The Ripple Buddies Project
Ripple Buddies is a peer mentoring project which builds positive relationships between children and young people. Ripple Buddies pairs young volunteer ‘buddies’ aged 14-19 with local children who are in primary school or S1.
The project is based on building strong individual relationships between the children and their positive peer mentors. The buddies provide 1:1 attention, advice, and fun to the children. Ripple Buddies provides a safe and secure space for children to play and build friendships away from the external pressures of home and school life. The volunteers are provided with support and training and find it an extremely fun and rewarding project to be a part of!
